RARE DISEASE DAY®

This International Rare Disease Day, Tuesday, February 28, join us in raising awareness and pledge to run or walk in support of the rare disease community.

How to participate:

  1. Submit the form below, making a public pledge to run or walk on Rare Disease Day. The number of miles you commit to and how you log the miles is up to you! Go alone or with a group, in the morning or at night, outside or on the treadmill. Walk your kids to school, take your dog on a longer route, or run home from work.
  2. Spread the word and get others to pledge. Share on social media using #Pledge4Rare.
  3. On Tuesday, February 28, log those miles!
  4. Take a photo and share why you’re supporting the rare disease community. Post it on social media tagging @SanofiGenzyme and #Pledge4Rare.

Congratulations, your pledge has been recorded!

ABOUT RARE

There are more than 7,000 different rare diseases, collectively affecting more than 350 million people around the world. Given their rarity, these conditions are often difficult to diagnose and treat. Patients can endure a long odyssey involving specialty doctors, tests, and misdiagnoses. They can go years or even decades without a correct diagnosis, all while suffering physically from complications of their disease and psychologically from not knowing what their condition is.

About Sanofi Genzyme

Sanofi Genzyme, the specialty care global business unit of Sanofi, focuses on developing specialty treatments for debilitating diseases that are often difficult to diagnose and treat, providing hope to patients and their families.

Sanofi Genzyme is committed to empowering the lives of patients with rare diseases by offering sustainable, transformative healthcare options. Our vision is that by 2025, all patients with the rare diseases that we serve will have access to an early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
